So I know that Winter is on the backside and I should be rejoicing about the oncoming of Spring and celebrating with bright colors, but I can’t help but maintain my love of Black! And not necessarily just black, but that mystery the color conveys. That edge, that fire, that independence. Everyone needs a good hat and this 20’s style wool hat at Urban Outfitters is a perfect addition to your wardrobe! Now I usually search endlessly on vintage sites for these types of hat, but I have to say that this hat just got to me! It’s so adorable with it’s peacock feather! How could you deny such a charming accessory for only $34?

Ok, so I am a bit OBSESSED with Urban tonight! Considering that these  BDG Skinny Black Suspenders are also from Urban Outfitters! But I can’t help it! I luv Urban and I luv suspenders! I know, I sound like an old man, but I am telling you, they are soooo much more comfortable than belts! And they keep your pants up! Yes, I know that belts do the same thing, but for me they are just not as efficient! Point being that not only do suspenders have a practical use, but as an accessory they add a unique look to your outfit. $20 at Urban!

So not only do I simply luv these fabulous Jeffrey Campbell “Brit Boots,” but I own them! And let me tell you, they are simply to die for! I wear them with everything! A dainty paisley dress or my tight black denim, it doesn’t matter, they work with all! And if you’re like me and you love to put a bit of edge in your outfit, then these will fit in perfectly with you. You can readjust the buckles so you can either wear the top of the boot open as to flip the lips over, or your can tighten them to wear the boot tight against your leg! Find them on Shopbob for $230! Black and Gold Heaven..

So I couldn’t stop with this one! It was just to much fun! The Vintage sequined top was the main piece in this outfit and everything that I found was directly inspired by it.  The tight leather pants to play up the flowy nature of the the top, the leopard jacket that plays off the gold (and is simply just fierce!), and the ring that mimics  the top as if it were made for it! All around this outfit is just simply Bad Ass! Not to mention that it’s a different take on a holiday outfit!

Black Sequin Top: $14.99 on Ebay at Alchemyvtg!  Absolutely STUNNING black and silver trophy top with heavily sequined leaf print. This Vintage top with its scalloped edges and deep V front and back begs to be taken out on the town!  Perfect for that girl whose confident and doesn’t mind attention! Only nine days left to bid!

Paneled Leather Pants: $138 at NastyGal Vintage! Dark brown (faux) leather skinnies featuring paneled leg detailing. Button/zip closure, back pockets. Fully lined. (Description Via NGV) I am obsessed with these pants ladies! I can imagine that just slipping into these puppies would make you feel like a super sexy vixen!  Or even better, one with the all powerful Cat Woman!

A Sheek Bohemian..

Now I have to say that this is one of my favorite outfits yet!  I mean, I love them all, but the jewelry and the dress in this one are simply just divine!  I would find a way to wear them everyday! Yes, even to the dogpark!  There is something so ethereal and free about this 1970’s dress that reminds of how much I wish I could’ve experienced the 70’s just for a brief moment.  The freedom, the silent, yet forward sexiness, the accidental nature that was your life. I know the 70’s wasn’t completely Hippie happiness, but this dress, in its simplicity, speaks to the hopefulness of what the 70’s promised. Hope you enjoy!

Petal Mini Dress: $78 at Spanish Moss Vintage! Gorgeous vintage dress  fully lined with empire waist and zip back.  I am in ❤ with this dress!  It reminds me of the 20’s; the light pale color, the effortless flow, a style that begs for you to be advantageous.  Wonderfully simplistic!

Sequin Jacket: $80 at Nasty Gal Vintage! Beautiful against the pale, whimsical mini dress, this jacket adds a little bit of edge and fun! Perfect to dress up an outfit, or to just simply to throw over your favorite tee!

Vintage 1950’s Silver Onyx ring: $34 on Etsy at Lilah Belle’s Vintage! Beautiful vintage Victorian Revival sterling silver filigree ring features a black onyx rhinestone that’s claw set in an open back setting.  The filigree open-work is very intricate and has goregeous light patina/oxidation that gives it an antiqued look that’s completely natural. (Description Via LBV) FYI if I had the bucks to spare I wouldn’t hesitate for a second on snatching this up!  I can actually feel my heart beating! Fabulous!

Double Chain Cross Necklace: $82 at Spanish Moss Vintage! Vintage 70’s silver bamboo molded cross pendant with double chain detail. Lobster clasp detail. Absolutely exquisite! It could be that I was watching The Other Boleyn Girl today and the nature of this necklace reminds me of that jewelry.  But either way, I still am in love with it!

Bootie: $99.95 at Nordstroms!  I luv the studs on these boots and I luv how they play with dress and help make it more sexy than sweet! I couldn’t decide if these totally worked with the dress, but I had to use them! They’re just to amazing. But as a second option there are these oxford boots from Urban Outfitters!

Vintage White Fur: $147 at Rolling Stone Vintage! This is a gorgeous vintage white fur straight out of the 70s. It is made of super soft, faux fur in an off-white color. The coat has a striped look and snap buttons up the front.  There are full-length sleeves and a semi-high collar. Vintage Ring: $175 on Etsy at Wolfpack Tribal Shop!  I know, it’s a bit expensive, but it is a rare black/purple natural sugilite ring!  Circa 1970’s this ring, and others in Shop, were acquired from a fine art gallery that closed over 20yrs ago.  Handcrafted and Native American made, it is sterling silver with no plastics or pot metals.

Maki Maki Vintage has been an Ebay seller since 2000! Amazing! Maki specializes in 60’s mod, 70’s glam, and 90’s grunge!  Carrying everything from over sized coats to skinny acid wash jeans, Maki Maki has something for every vintage lover! Check them out!

Dear Golden Vintage is one of my new finds and I ❤ it!!  Dear Golden is a vintage shop that brings hand-selected vintage garments from the 1920s through the 1980s to modern girls who aspire to stand out from the crowd in the very best way. Vintage Inspired…

So, I was poking around the other day (naturally) and I came across a site that I can’t keep in the dark!  It’s absolutely FABULOUS!  Not only does it have amazing prizes, but the clothing is super adorable and “ready to wear.”  Not to mention that the clothing line also offers an eco-friendly, an indie-made, and a curvy plus line.  Interested?  Apparently you are if you’re still reading!  So, I’m gonna let you in on my find…the name of my new favorite women’s apparel company is Ruche.  And what makes this clothing line so amazing, besides the actual apparel, is the fact that it was created with love by a pair of lovebirds who dreamed of being able to build their own business.  As we women have come to find, sometimes it can be a bit difficult to find clothing that fits not only our personal style, but our budget. Lucky for us though, this is exactly what Mai Olivio, one of the founders of Ruche, found herself experiencing.  So she began in 2005 to buy and sell clothing that she felt fit with her personal style and through the years she and her husband Josh Olivio steadily built her business based on Ruche’s mission statement of “a modern boutique with a vintage touch.”  By 2008 Josh Olivio, who holds a degree in Computer Science and Web Developement, was able to create ShopRuche.com and since then their business has steadily been growing.  Priding themselves on customer service, they still personally answer customer emails and honor any discrepancies that may be found with their clothing.  Even more impressive and what I find most interesting about this company, is that they strive to ensure that small boutique brands and indie designers are represented in their catalogue.  Artists helping Artists…I love it!
