A Sheek Bohemian..

Now I have to say that this is one of my favorite outfits yet!  I mean, I love them all, but the jewelry and the dress in this one are simply just divine!  I would find a way to wear them everyday! Yes, even to the dogpark!  There is something so ethereal and free about this 1970’s dress that reminds of how much I wish I could’ve experienced the 70’s just for a brief moment.  The freedom, the silent, yet forward sexiness, the accidental nature that was your life. I know the 70’s wasn’t completely Hippie happiness, but this dress, in its simplicity, speaks to the hopefulness of what the 70’s promised. Hope you enjoy!

Petal Mini Dress: $78 at Spanish Moss Vintage! Gorgeous vintage dress  fully lined with empire waist and zip back.  I am in ❤ with this dress!  It reminds me of the 20’s; the light pale color, the effortless flow, a style that begs for you to be advantageous.  Wonderfully simplistic!

Sequin Jacket: $80 at Nasty Gal Vintage! Beautiful against the pale, whimsical mini dress, this jacket adds a little bit of edge and fun! Perfect to dress up an outfit, or to just simply to throw over your favorite tee!

Vintage 1950’s Silver Onyx ring: $34 on Etsy at Lilah Belle’s Vintage! Beautiful vintage Victorian Revival sterling silver filigree ring features a black onyx rhinestone that’s claw set in an open back setting.  The filigree open-work is very intricate and has goregeous light patina/oxidation that gives it an antiqued look that’s completely natural. (Description Via LBV) FYI if I had the bucks to spare I wouldn’t hesitate for a second on snatching this up!  I can actually feel my heart beating! Fabulous!

Double Chain Cross Necklace: $82 at Spanish Moss Vintage! Vintage 70’s silver bamboo molded cross pendant with double chain detail. Lobster clasp detail. Absolutely exquisite! It could be that I was watching The Other Boleyn Girl today and the nature of this necklace reminds me of that jewelry.  But either way, I still am in love with it!

Bootie: $99.95 at Nordstroms!  I luv the studs on these boots and I luv how they play with dress and help make it more sexy than sweet! I couldn’t decide if these totally worked with the dress, but I had to use them! They’re just to amazing. But as a second option there are these oxford boots from Urban Outfitters!

Nasty Gal Vintage founded in 2006!  Nasty Gal offers a wide selection of the most desirable and coveted vintage clothing and accessories available online, as well as unique new designer pieces. A Bit of Sparkle..

Talk about sparkle!! You’ll defiantly be turning heads in this outfit! What’s more exciting is that all the items featured in this post are vintage except for the shoes and belt!   I love a good patent leather pump.  It’s a nice little period on the whole outfit!  Only 5 more days ladies!

Black Sequin Dress: $88 on Ebay at Tin Roof Vintage! Super sexy vintage 80s peek-a-boo black crochet dress covered in black sequins with a tight, stretchy fit and ruffled neckline and hem. Black slip IS included. Belt is not included. EXCELLENT condition! (Description Via Tin Roof)

Vintage White Fur: $147 at Rolling Stone Vintage! This is a gorgeous vintage white fur straight out of the 70s. It is made of super soft, faux fur in an off-white color. The coat has a striped look and snap buttons up the front.  There are full-length sleeves and a semi-high collar. Unfortunately, due to age, there are some spots on this vintage coat and a tear on the inner lining, under the arm. (Description VIA RSV)

Skinny Belt: $13.99 at Poetrie! This adorably classy skinny belt can be paired perfectly at the waist with an evening or day dress for a dash of sexy sophistication to your overall look. (Description Via Poetrie)

Vintage Lily Necklace: $32.00 on Etsy at Jess James Jakes! Stunning 1960’s necklace, with a shallow length, lovely attached metal chain, simple clasp, 6 petal flowers, 7 lily blossoms, and (faux) diamond bloom centers!  (Description Via JJJ)

Patent Leather Pump: $245 at Nordstrom! Who doesn’t love a sexy red pump!  It makes anything stand out and it screams confidence! (Jessica Simpson makes pumps that are very similar for less)

Xmas Served With A Side Of Punk!

7 Days and Counting until Santa come to town!  And what would he say if he saw you in this sweet and sassy outfit?  Lets just say that you would definitely make his naughty list!  Naughty in a good way that is!  I do have to say that I do love this outfit!  Sexy, punk, and dainty all in one.  Let’s face it, we’re multi-dimensional, why shouldn’t our clothes be!

Flapper Fringe Dress: $84.99 at Poetrie! I know this isn’t a vintage dress, but it is vintage inspired!! Who doesn’t luv the 20’s and who wouldn’t want to party in a flapper dress!!  Peachy fringe on top, underneath a  black, fitted, strapless shell hugs your curves deliciously so you can dance the night away!

Leather Snap Jacket: $21.50 as of now on Ebay at Noir Ohio Vintage!  Fully lined 80’s Vintage black SUPER supple, buttery soft leather coat with a draped collar and funnel neck detail.  Asymmetrical snaps down the front with open oversized pocets and padded shoulders. Only 8 days left to bid! Hurry!

Fishnet Tights: $17.99 at Modcloth! Deep plum and black, textured fishnets, which feature seemingly millions of tiny patterns to make your legs look sassy and styling!

Vintage Ring: $175 on Etsy at Wolfpack Tribal Shop!  I know, it’s a bit expensive, but it is a rare black/purple natural sugilite ring!  Circa 1970’s this ring, and others in Shop, were acquired from a fine art gallery that closed over 20yrs ago.  Handcrafted and Native American made, it is sterling silver with no plastics or pot metals.

Chainmail Earrings: $12.99 at Poetrie! Antique inspired bronze earrings!

Noir Ohio Vintage is a fabulous Ebay store!  Selling on Ebay since 2005, this store strives to provide quality vintage to its customer!  A bit on the edgier side, this store is perfect for the 80’s/90’s luver or to find something tough to go with your lacey top! I ❤ it!

Modcloth was founded by high school sweethearts, Eric Koger and Susan Gregg Koger, and built on a foundation of love for vintage and retro clothing!  A great go to for anything you need, ModCloth provides vintage inspired clothing and accessories too.  But if you want to shop their vintage, you have to be quick about it and get it early in the day b/c it goes super fast!  It’s totally worth it if you catch it!

Simple, Yet Glamorous!

It’s 8 days until Christmas and here is Holiday Outfit number 3! Yes, I know I missed a day, I’m sorry! But I hope this old style Hollywood party dress will make up for it!  It’s super simple, but glamorous and elegant.  And for shoes all you would need would be a simple black heel (prefer. with a round toe!) 1950’s Clover Embroidered Dress: $115 at LaVintage!  Perfect for Holiday parties, this taffeta party dress is in excellent condition!  The bodice is fitted with a gorgeous wide neckline that falls off the shoulders and reveals the perfect amount of sexiness which balances out the full skirt. Mink Fur Wrap: $189 on Ebay at Maki Maki Vintage!  Fully lined, super soft and rare vintage 50’s wrap! Stole looks amazing worn in a variety of ways! Pearly button closure! Excellent vintage condition.

White Rabbit Pillbox Hat: $24 on Etsy at Dear Golden Vintage! Vintage 1960’s hat in excellent condition with cream grosbrain lining and cream satin top!

Gold Mesh Clutch: $120 at Evolution Vintage! VINTAGE Whiting and Davis Co. Gold metal mesh clutch. Excellent condition. Tiny tarnish marks on 1 side & on clasp. Liner satin and MINT! jeweled top clasp. (Description Via Evolution Vintage)

Gold Mesh Necklace: $24.99 at Ruche! Beautiful gold colored necklace with gold mesh tubing and elegant pearls inside. All is braided together to make a nice necklace that would be great to wear with your more formal dresses. (Description Via Ruche)

Maki Maki Vintage has been an Ebay seller since 2000! Amazing! Maki specializes in 60’s mod, 70’s glam, and 90’s grunge!  Carrying everything from over sized coats to skinny acid wash jeans, Maki Maki has something for every vintage lover! Check them out!

10 Days ‘Til XMas!

The Countdown to the Holidays continues with STUNNING Holiday outfit number 2!  Hold your breath ladies, this is a good one!

I know!  It’s absoloutely breath taking isn’t it!  It makes me wish I were a Hollywood Starlet!  Then again, I guess I don’t really have to be one if I’m wearing this.  It oozes of Silver Screen Royalty and just simply adorning it would be enough to turn any head in a room!  Um, I’m sorry, can we say Oscar worthy, please?

Stunning Lace Taffeta Dress: $215 at LaVintage!  It’s a bit pricier than I usually shop, but it’s so fabulous that I can’t resist!  This Marilyn Monroe styled 1950’s evening dress has a scalloped, wave like bodice trimmed with braided black applique and a bustle like panel at the back.  The strapless bodice has a bullet bra style bust and a back metal zip closure and the entire dress is made with a sheer black lace overlay on top of a beige/ cream taffeta. Platinum Mink Fur: $300 on Ebay at California Vintage Connect! I know! Price is a bit high, but ladies, this is a mint condition 1960’s Mink Swing coat!  Now, I don’t wear fur, but you have to appreciate the artistry of this garment.  The exquisite extra large collar, the perfectly belled sleeves, and the swing cut of this fully lined jacket  begs to be showcased and deserves a night out on the town!  In pristine condition, you have only one day left to bid!

Handmade Velvet Purse: $23 on Etsy at Green Pond Crafts!  This is a beautiful handmade velvet purse crafted from soft velvet, satin, and beads. The flower is made by sewing 3 layers of petals around the small beads and then sewn into the purse. (Description Via Green Pond Crafts)

Dolce Vita Shoes: $158 at Nasty Gal Vintage!  Black suede pumps featuring a curved covered platform. Genuine leather interior, cushioned insole.  These shoes are obviously not vintage, but they defiantly help complete this Marilyn-esque outfit!

Holiday Party Dresses!

OK Ladies!  The holidays are right around the corner and I know that you are looking for that PERFECT Christmas party dress!  And how is it that I know this?  Because I’m doing it too!  And I’m not looking for just ANY party dress, I’m looking for THE party dress!  So being the Vintage fanatic that I am, I thought what better way to make a statement than to scope out my favorite Vintage sellers and find that one of a kind outfit! Even better, I thought it would be super fun if I did my own special count down to the Holidays with a dress a day until Christmas! (And, hey if you love vintage fashion, maybe you’ll find your Christmas party dress here!) Here’s day 11 and counting:

Talk about making an impression!  I ❤ pairing something a bit more formal (even a little sexy :)) with garments that are super edgy and hard.  It makes for a great contrast and who doesn’t luv to mix things up a bit!  A fun note: Everything in this outfit is TOTALLY vintage, except for the shoes, which are Jeffrey Campbell!  He’s a weakness of mine!

Fabulous red dress: $9.95 as of now on Ebay at California Vintage Connect!  Dress is 1980’s ruched strapless top with layered ruffles and zips up in back. Polyester satin fabric. gently worn, pre-owned and in excellent condition!  Only 1 day left to bid! Hurry!

Biker Jacket: $11.87 as of now on Ebay at Mama Stone Vintage!  Vintage 80’s Black LEATHER Motorcycle Biker Bomber Jacket. Very lightweight leather. Zipper up front. Knit Ribbed cuffs and waistband. Fully lined on the inside.  22hrs left!

Vintage jewelry: Truly unique jewelry, these pieces are handmade from vintage jewelry!  Necklace, aka “The Helen,” is made from antique chandelier Brass chain, that’s double stranded and tied off around the neck with black satin ribbon, finished with a cluster of vintage brooches.  Sells for $115.  Ring, “Michelle,” is a cluster of vintage earrings! Sells for $60.  Both of these pieces can be found on Etsy at Vintage Revival!

Mama Stone Vintage is an essential Ebay store to visit for any Vintage lover!  I am never disappointed in their selection!  A member since 2004 Mama Stone specializes in coats, jackets, sweaters, rompers, and dresses from the late 60s through the early 90s.

Vintage Revival, created in 2009, is a new find of mine on Etsy and it is truly remarkable! Handmade from vintage jewelry all of Designer Paula Michelle’s jewelry are one of a kind!  No two are alike and all vintage pieces are handpicked by Michelle!
